Cape May County Way Haiti is the name of a street of twenty-five small but sturdy houses being built in Cap Haitien Haiti sponsored by the people of Cape May County in response to the extreme need in Haiti Several schools have been involved in this project and the students from Wildwood Catholic High School are offering a visual and factual display highlighting a comparison of Cape May County NJ and Cap Haitien Haiti. To date there are six of the twenty-five houses that will comprise “Cape May County Way.” A single house made of concrete blocks and metal roofing costs $2600.00. The entire street of houses will cost $65000.00. The houses are being built by “Food for the Poor” the 3rd largest international charity operating in the United States. The goal is to spread the word have others become involved share ideas knowledge and skills and put Cape May County on the map in a really positive and life giving way. Together the people of Cape May County can offer hope to a community in need.
The three phases of outreach include housing education and nutrition
