Yogurt Cake Brownies

  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3- 1 ounce squares unsweetened chocolate melted
  • ¾ cup plain yogurt
  • 4 whole eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 -½ cup all-purpose flour
  • Optional 1 cup Raisins &/or walnuts


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. In mixer, cream butter and both sugars until fluffy. Add melted chocolate and yogurt mixing well.

  3. Add eggs one at a time, mix for 1 minute after each egg addition.

  4. Add vanilla and baking powder, mixing well. Stir in flour and any optional ingredients.

  5. Spread into greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan and bake for 45-50 minutes.

  6. Cool completely, cut, and serve.
