Shrimp and Smoked Salmon Canapés

  • 24 -21/25 cooked shrimps split
  • 1 smoked salmon
  • 2 cream cheese
  • ¼ cup horseradish
  • Fresh chive chopped
  • Fresh dill
  • Sliced rye bread
  • Sliced pumpernickel bread


  1. Shrimp Mousse

    Take 1 of the cream cheese place in a food processor, add half of the horseradish and some chives then blend well. Taste and add more horseradish is needed and set aside.

  2. Smoked Salmon Mousse

    Repeat same steps as above adding smoked salmon and chopped dill saving some salmon and dill for garnish.

  3. Take a small cookie cutter and cut out your favorite shapes into the breads. Fill ta pastry bag with each of the mousse mixtures and place a small portion on each bread shape.

  4. Place a piece of shrimp on the horseradish mousse and garnish with a piece of chive.

  5. Roll a piece of salmon then place it on the mousse and garnish with dill.
