Ingredients

  • Package Mini hot dogs (such as Hillshire Farms)
  • Crisco for frying
  • Long toothpicks
  • Corn Dog Batter:
  • 1cup flour
  • 2tbsp sugar
  • 2tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1tsp salt
  • ¾ cup milk

Directions

  1. Sift together dry ingredients and mix wet ingredients well.

  2. Combine wet and dry ingredients very well with whisk.

  3. Skewer dry hot dogs with toothpicks, dip in batter and fry in hot (370F) Crisco until brown.

  4. Serve with favorite mustard as dipping sauce.
