  • Complexity: easy

  • 2 15oz cans of chick peas
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1/4 cup chick pea juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. lemon zest
  • 4 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 or 2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/2 cup Tahini
  • 1/2 tsp. sesame oil

  1. Put all ingredients in a food processor and run with the blade for 1 minute.

  2. Add the chick peas and continue to process until mixture reaches 105 degrees. ((Like a baby with a fever) you can approximate) The heating process helps smooth the hummus and release the essential oils.

  3. Chill and serve or serve immediately as you prefer. It keeps for several days and is a good dip to make ahead if you want to.
