Ingredients

  • 2 pounds tomatillos depapered and cut in ¼’s
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Vidalia onion, medium dice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 Serrano pepper
  • ¼ cup chili powder
  • 1/3 cup ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in a large pot and cook until the tomatillos and onions are tender.

  2. Puree the mixture in a blender or food processor.

  3. Chill and serve.
