Chop the chorizo into small cubes.
In a large heavy pot, heat the olive oil.
Add the beef, chorizo, onion, garlic, and pepper to the pot and cook on medium high heat until the meat browns and the veggies are wilted.
Add the spices and fry them with the meat for a couple of minutes.
Add the beans, tomatoes, and about 1 cup of water.
Simmer until the chili is reduced to the texture you want and serve.
Serve raw diced onions, sour cream, and grated cheddar cheese on the side.
