Artichoke and Swiss Dip

  • 1 large can artichoke, cut into bite size pieces
  • 2 cups grated swiss cheese
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 large round rye bread


  1. Mix all ingredients in a microwave safe container, cover and begin to heat for 1 minute at a time until cheese is melted.

  2. Stir and microwave for an additional 1 1/2 minutes.

  3. Cut the top off the bread and remove the center to form a bowl.

  4. Cut the removed bread into cubes for dipping.

  5. Fill the bread bowl with the dip.

  6. Usually serve with crackers as well, for dipping.
