Homebound Delivery

The Cape May County Library is pleased to provide free delivery of library materials to Cape May County residents of any age who are physically unable to visit the library, including the elderly, the disabled and those who are temporarily incapacitated by illness or accident and are unable to get to the library on their own.

homeboundHomebound Delivery visits are made to a patron once a month on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, depending on staff availability. A schedule will be discussed with you during your first visit. This service is free. You will not be charged any fines, although you will be responsible for lost or damaged items. Books in large print, regular size print, and Audio Books are available. You may request specific authors and titles or have a librarian choose them according to your interest. Four to eight items at any time will be delivered.

To arrange for a homebound delivery, please call 463-6361. Indicate that you are interested in a Homebound Delivery. Leave a message with your name, phone number, and address and someone will return your call.

Samsung Chromebooks powered by Chrome OS can be borrowed and used in the Library. Patrons can surf the web, stream videos, listen to music, post to social networks, play games, or create documents. Some features may require users to have a Google Account, click here to create one. Currently, Chromebooks are only available to borrow at the Main Branch in Court House. Patrons must be 18 years of age or older to borrow a Chromebook and he or she must leave ID with staff while borrowing the Chromebook. Please call the Reference Desk for further information – 609.463.6352.
