The library staff strives to make this facility an inviting place for all people. It is the intent of the library that all customers should be able to use its facilities to the maximum extent possible during its regularly scheduled hours.

This Code of Conduct has been developed to minimize situations in which any library customer interferes with the legitimate library business of other customers and staff, to protect the safety of all library customers and staff, and to protect library property. Patrons are expected to follow the Code ofConduct. Anyone refusing to follow the Code of Conduct will be asked to leave. Thank you for your cooperation.

Cyberbullying is defined as bullying or harassment that happens online. It can be in the form of an email, text message, game, chat room, or on a social networking site. The library has zero tolerance for cyberbullying. Anyone using library computers in violation of this policy shall lose all computer privileges for a time to be determined by the Director or Assistant Director.

Display case, Exhibit and Literature Distribution Policy

It is necessary to establish a display case policy for the display, distribution, and exhibition of materials from or for not-for-profit organizations when the library commission is not utilizing the display case. Limited display space within the library requires that materials accepted for posting, display, distribution or exhibit be governed by regulations listed below. This policy governs the use of literature distribution racks, bulletin boards, display cases and exhibit areas in the Cape May County Public Library.

Cape May County library Commission (CMCLC) Meeting Room Policy

The Cape May County Library's meeting rooms are primarily available for the Library's own programs or those library programs co-sponsored with other groups. Additionally, the meeting rooms can be used by Individuals and not-for-profit groups or organizations. There will be no commercial use of a meeting room; however, a commercial or for-profit organization may have a program if it offers to the public timely information presented by knowledgeable or skilled professionals, but no fees can be charged and no solicitations can be made.
