Second Nature Journaling Club
Second Nature Journaling Club
Making a connection to the outdoors is second nature! John Muir, Rachael Carson, Henry David Thoreau, and Beatrix Potter were all naturalists who kept journals as a way to continue a curiosity about, carry on a conversation with, and document observations of the wildlife and seasonal patterns around them. We’ll be sharing a variety of sketching, painting, and writing. Bring your sketchbook and favorite tools and join Sue Slotterback as we inspire our own nature journals.

No registration necessary.

CMCL Reads!
CMCL Reads!
CMCLreads is a reading challenge that you can do at your own pace throughout the entire year. Not familiar with reading challenges? It’s simple! Here’s how it works:

Throughout 2018, choose books that fall into the categories listed and enjoy them. Next, write down the titles and submit a completed form for a chance to win a prize. That’s it!

Read or listen to your books any way you’d prefer - we aren’t picky. Can you use a single book to fulfill more than one category? Yes! We suggest that you choose books that you haven’t read before. It’s good to try new things and we have plenty of books to offer.

There are no age requirements - everyone is encouraged to participate!
Railroading in Cape May
Railroading in Cape May
By 1863, the West Jersey Railroad had arrived in Cape May County. Not long afterward, the Atlantic City Railroad came to town. This was the start of what has been 150+ years of railroading in Cape May County. Through boom times and bad times, the railroad has been there. This story is a continuing one, not always pleasant, but always interesting. Join engineer, Ron Baile, for a journey through the past 150 years of railroading in Cape May County that you will be sure to enjoy.

Registration required. Please call (609) 463-6386.
